What if change is exactly what you fear - and need?

Karl, a pastor, lives as a widower in a small town in western Jutland. But when the artist Birgitte arrives to install a work of art in front of the church - commissioned by the chair of the parish council and Karl’s arch-enemy, the farmer Svend - cracks begin to appear in Karl’s past. He does everything he can to sabotage the installation of the artwork. But the winds of change are sweeping through the small town, ultimately working in Karl’s favor.
